Monash Children’s Hospital 

Monash Children’s Hospital cares for more than 100,000 children in our community every year.

As part of Monash Health, Victoria’s largest healthcare service and one of only four accredited Academic Health Science Centres in Australia, we have access to the world’s leading medical minds, who are turning research findings into better health outcomes for our patients.

Monash Children’s Hospital is a network of paediatric healthcare services across three hospitals – our main campus in Clayton (co-located with Monash Medical Centre) and emergency and inpatient services at Dandenong and Casey Hospitals. Monash Children’s Hospital at Home provides treatment for a range of conditions, caring for neonates and children from zero to 18 years in their own home.

Our paediatric care extends across our community services, including the Murrumbek Casey Early Parenting Centre.

We have Victoria’s largest Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and provide leading paediatric services in Rehabilitation, Oncology, Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and Palliative Care.

Monash Children’s Hospital is also the Victorian Referral Centre for many low-volume and highly-complex cases. Our services are linked to an adult service, allowing us to provide transition of care as children grow older and move to an adult care service.

We deliver specialised, innovative, family-centred care and believe strongly in putting patients first and striving for exceptional care and outstanding outcomes.

Where the walk began

Founded in 2013 by The Friends of the Children Foundation, the Monash Children’s Hospital Walk began as a small grassroots community event with fewer than 100 attendees. Since then, the event has grown every year and has raised over $2.4 million to support our young patients and their families, with our amazing supporters walking in step for a good cause.

2026 will be our 14th year walking together, and we’ll be hosting it at the beautiful Jells Park. Get ready for a day full of fun and prizes, a fun day out perfect for the whole family.

Funds raised from the Monash Children’s Hospital Walk support vital programs, services and other services that ensure our young patients, and their families receive world-class care.
